Breed Development (Sheep & Goat)
Breed Development in Livestock
The Breed Development sub-mission under the National Livestock Mission (NLM) focuses on entrepreneurship development and breed improvement in the sheep and goat farming sectors. The primary goal is to establish a robust infrastructure for producing high-quality breeding animals, which will enhance the overall productivity and profitability of the sector.
This initiative encourages the establishment of modern breeding farms by providing significant capital subsidies. By focusing on genetic improvement and creating a reliable supply of superior breeds, the mission aims to make sheep and goat farming a more scientific and remunerative enterprise for rural entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurship Programme under NLM
The scheme aims to create rural entrepreneurs by providing them substantial capital subsidies for establishing breeding farms.
